Bo Fung Industries (M) Sdn Bhd (“Bo Fung”) history can be dated back to as early as 1970s when it was first started off as a garment manufacturer in Singapore. Through the hard work, resourcefulness and perseverance of its founder, Mr. Kwok Kwen Tao, Bo Fung has grown from strength to strength to become a full-fledged garment manufacturer and exporter. In the late 1980’s, Bo Fung set up its overseas operations in Vietnam and Malaysia as part of its regionalisation plan. The senior Mr. Kwok has imparted his production and management expertise to the second generation of the Kwok family. The elder son, Mr. Kwok Hai Sing is now in charge of Hanoi May 19 Textile Group, an established and respectable garment company in Hanoi in collaboration with the Vietnamese Government. The younger son, Mr. Jeffrey Kwok is now the Managing Director of Bo Fung’s operations in Malaysia.

The objective of Bo Fung is to manufacture the highest quality garment and make on time delivery to our most discerned buyers. In order to achieve total customer satisfaction, Bo Fung has been constantly keeping abreast with the latest trends and developments in the textile and garment industries. Externally, we work closely with our buyers and suppliers to ensure the fabrics and accessories are of the highest quality. This sharp focus has enabled us to add value to our products, keep up the rapid changes in the garment industry and the evolving needs of our buyers. Internally, we are constantly investing and upgrading to advanced and capital-intensive equipment and machinery. Our talent management program has assembled a team of qualified and experienced personnel to oversee the overall operations.

With the trade liberation initiated under AFTA and WTO in full swing, we are well positioned to capitalize on our strength and experience to reap the considerable rewards. Being a key vendor of world famous apparel retailing companies, such as Walt Disney, Kohl’s, Kmart, Mitre and Puma, has re-affirmed our strength and reputation as a premier and reliable garment manufacturer. To measure up to the future competition, Bo Fung will relentlessly pursue quality excellence and co-operate closely with all our key suppliers and buyers. Bo Fung is actively seeking commercially viable joint-venture projects with mainland China companies to take advantage of its cheaper labor and materials. Going forward, Bo Fung’s focus will be to set up strategic business units in overseas to complement its existing business operations in Malaysia and momentarily transform itself into a multi-faced and dynamic organization in the new millennium.
